CORONA CLINICS CONCEPT NOTE

COVID-19 has scared us all. I am watching the world suffer and I am anxious. I know that the virus can stay in our bodies without showing much symptoms for a long time and mild symptoms can be overlooked. But in Nepal, we have a limited number of medical teams with limited time at hand. They cannot attend to all our queries. Calling a helpline also does not help in alleviating my anxiety because I wish someone could just ‘see’ me before judging my health status. If I have COVID-19 disease, I want it to be known as early as possible. But where do I go? Who will see me? Who will talk to me? Where will they send me?

We understand this. Hence, Corona Clinics. These clinics will be temporary volunteer-driven checkposts that will attend to the patients, so that much of the load is taken-off the hospitals and healthcare workers.

Drone Squad

Nation-wide Crowdsourced Drone-based Surveillance for COVID-19 Lockdown

Drone Squad

Mission Aim:

We are in a difficult time, and restricting movement and avoiding crowds is the only way we can

hope to slow down the spread of the virus. The Government of India announced a 21-day

lockdown to ensure public health safety. However, the local police have been having a tough

time keeping people indoors. In the limited resources the police have, they are not able to keep

an eye on all streets in their jurisdiction. We aim to make their work easier using images and live

videos from drones to guide them to the locations where they need to pay attention to.

What will we do:

We will be conducting crowdsourced surveillance activity using drones across the country to

support the local police in crowd control and ensuring the rules of lockdown are not violated.

We will be enrolling local drone pilots who already have drones in their homes to fly from their

rooftops in their neighbourhood. We will be using live video streaming from the drones assisted

with AI algorithms to identify humans and groups of humans, making it easy for the local police

to patrol and approach the crowd and request them to go back to their homes.

We Develop

We Collaborate

We Develop

We work with key multi-stakeholder groups to design systems and processes for using emerging technologies such as drones, data, AI, IoT and Blockchain for social good applications such as healthcare and disaster management. Our work uses principles of digital development, human-centered design, and lean six sigma to design efficient and impactful processes and systems.

We Develop

We share our learning and experience through workshops and tailor-made training programs. We work with training and academic partners and technical experts globally to build highly engaging courses for topics around adopting technolgoies for social good. We train in a top-down approach, coaching key stakeholders within a system in adopting emerging technologies.
